There is a growing body of evidence to support the efficacy of physical and occupational therapy in pediatrics. The aim of this journal is to provide a forum for the dissemination of high quality research and clinical practice information related to physical and occupational therapy in pediatrics. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
-The role of physical and occupational therapy in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric conditions
-Interventions to promote motor development, functional skills, and Participation in daily activities
-Evidence-based practice guidelines for the provision of physical and occupational therapy services in pediatrics
-Outcome measures for use in pediatric physical and occupational therapy research and practice
-Ethical and policy issues related to the provision of physical and occupational therapy services in pediatrics.
The journal is committed to publishing rigorous research that will advance the science and practice of physical and occupational therapy in pediatrics. We welcome submissions from a diversity of methodological perspectives, including but not limited to: randomized controlled trials, observational studies, qualitative research, and single-subject design studies. We also encourage submissions that report on the development and validation of new outcome measures for use in pediatric physical and occupational therapy research and practice.
